The Olmsted-Rochester Law Enforcement K-9 Foundation is a 501c(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation. Its mission is to provide financial support for the Olmsted County Sheriff’s and Rochester Police Department’s K-9 Units. The Foundation collaborates with the K-9 Units to identify and prioritize special needs that are not funded through the department’s ordinary budgeting process.
Police dogs perform a critical role in keeping our community safe and are an invaluable asset to law enforcement officers. They locate suspects, sniff out narcotics, explosives, weapons, critical evidence, and so much more. The Olmsted-Rochester Law Enforcement K-9 Foundation is a tax-exempt non-profit corporation created for charitable purposes. The foundation was founded in 2014 to support the Olmsted County Sheriff and Rochester Police Department K-9 Units.
